Shane McGill is the founder and managing director of the McGill Technology group of companies, the creator of One-Shot and the inventor of the single-portion container system for dispensing ice cream and Revolver blending for blend-in-cup for frozen beverages. Mr. McGill is qualified with a H.N.C. in Mechanical Engineering, plus endorsements for admission into the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, whereby making him highly experienced in design and sales for over forty years.

Colin Beale, CFA
Financial Manager

Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant at the age of 22, Mr. Beale started his own business practicing as a firm of Chartered Accountants soon thereafter. He grew that business to a turnover of well in excess of £1,000,000 with a staff of 35, specialising himself as a business advisor. He retired there from at the age of 60 to spend more time with the McGill Group with which he had been involved for some 15 years as an advisor and then director.

During his accountancy career, Mr. Beale gained wide experience as a director of many companies, including, for over 15 years, a government funded national organisation in the field of sport. He mentored many boards of directors to help them achieve their objectives taking one entrepreneur from a turnover of £30,000 per annum to one of £30,000,000 before he sold out to a public company.

His position in the McGill group of companies has given him a wealth of experience in dealing with organisations of all sizes, ranging from multinationals to small distributors, in many different countries.

Gary McGill, MBA
Director of New Business Development

Gary McGill was there from the start to experience the beginning of extrusion technology back in the late 1990s. He also marketed the original extrusion machines and was involved some numerous patents in the group’s portfolio of intellectual property.

His capacity within the group organization is New Business Development. Mr. McGill has a very diverse background with both practical hands-on experience and theoretical educational background.

Mr. McGill has an O.N.C. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Mid-Warwickshire College of Further Education (Warwickshire, UK), Associate of Arts Degree, General Studies (High Honors), Wor-Wic Community College (Maryland, USA), Bachelor of Arts (Summa Cum Laude), Political Science, Salisbury University (Maryland, USA) and Master of Business Administration from Wilmington University (Delaware, USA).

US national academic honors societies include: Phi Theta Kappa, Pi Gamma Mu, Pi Sigma Alpha, Alpha Sigma Lambda, Pi Sigma Tau, Phi Kappa Phi, and Sigma Beta Delta. He has also been listed in the US National Dean’s List and the US Chancellor’s List.

Steve Garsden
Director of Global Accounts

In 1997, 7-Eleven Japan purchased One-Shot dispensers and immediately Mr. Garsden was head hunted by One-Shot to process this order. At this time he was employed as principal troubleshooter for the One-Shot technical department, but by the early 1990s he was promoted to Group General Manager when this position was made available, since he was the natural choice for the job opening.

In 2005 Mr. Garsden was promoted to director level status within the One-Shot organization. He continues to act as a technical troubleshooter, additionally he processes key Asian accounts, along with regular trips overseas for liaison work with our dealers and key accounts.

Martin White
Chief Design Engineer

Indentured Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship – time served in the automotive industry. His career encompasses Jig and Tool Design Draughtsman – Automotive industry – Lubrication, Water and Power steering pumps; Design Draughtsman – Roofing products; Design Draughtsman – Electronic, mechanical and sheetmetal products; Design Draughtsman – Pre-cast concrete products for sports stadiums and general building projects; Drawing Office Manager 3D CAD - Electronic, mechanical and sheetmetal products. Implementing, maintaining and working to ISO9001 (formerly BS5750) Quality System; Design Manager 3D CAD – Injection moulding, mechanical, sheetmetal, rapid prototyping, development, subcontract design and manufacturing liaison, purchasing, approvals testing.

Martin White is professionally qualified with HTEC (HNC) in Mechanical Engineering from Mid-Kent College in Kent, England. He is also a co-inventor on some of the numerous newer patents in the group’s portfolio of intellectual property. His technical design contribution includes the design of the One-Shot model OS6 (and pending OS7), Revolver blender, Revolver ice paste chest, and the Revolver adaptor ice paste-blending jug.
